FAQs
Confusion can arise in various steps of the recipe. The following answers to commonly asked questions will clarify your confusion. Have a closer look.
What type of shrimp is best suited for shrimp and egg noodles recipes?
Brown or white shrimp is the best option for shrimp and egg noodles recipes as they have an intense flavor. Freshwater shrimp is also suitable for any noodle recipe, but it has a milder taste compared to the previous types.
Can alternative proteins be used in place of shrimp?
I don’t recommend doing it. As the name of this dish is shrimp and egg noodles, you must use shrimp to get the authentic flavor. If you use other proteins, such as chicken or beef, the taste will change accordingly.
Any additional garnishes or toppings that can be added to enhance the flavor and presentation?
Adding too many additional ingredients might overpower the vibrant flavor or fragrance of the dish. However, you can drizzle some hot sesame oil infused with chili powder if you love a spicy kick in your noodles. Chopped chives can also be added for garnish.
Can I use egg noodles without pre-cooking them in this recipe?
No. If you start frying the egg noodles directly, they will become tough. You must boil the noodles for some time before mixing them with other ingredients.
