Do’s and Don’ts of The Recipe

Again I am saying that there are almost 3 parts of this recipe. In each case, you have to be careful to get better results. Here are some more dos and don’ts for you to follow.

  • Many of you may think that chicken broth is not of any use after boiling the chicken, but this is the main ingredient to cook the rice.
  • Ensure the chicken is well cooked. The less or overcooked chicken will be loose while you cut them.
  • After boiling the chicken, we took them to an icy water. But don’t keep the chicken in this water for more than 1 minute.
While cooking rice, keep the water in the perfect amount. Keep 1:2 rice and chicken broth ratio for perfect cooking.
  • Coat the chicken slices with sauce perfectly. Try to pour the sauce slowly and evenly over the chicken. After that, use a small spoon to do this properly.
  • Salad is not mandatory. It is up to you. You may also use any other type of salad.

FAQs

Here are some questions about the recipe that will help you to know more about this and will clear your confusion while you try them at home. Let’s see these questions. If you still have any questions, you may comment below and get your answer from me.

What type of chicken is best for this recipe—dark meat or white meat?

You can use any type of meat for this recipe. But white meats are more soft and they tend to absorb the flavour of sauces. So, I think you should use white chicken meat.

Can I substitute the green onion with any other type of onion?

I think you can’t because green onion is vital in chicken broth. Also, green onion is a must for sauce. On the other hand, normal onion and green onion works completely differently. So, I think, you should not change this ingredient. If you have no other option then you may go for shallots spring onions or yellow onions.

Can I use store-bought chicken broth instead of making my own?

Yes, you can use store-bought chicken broth as a substitute, especially if you’re short on time. However, making your own broth from boiling the chicken adds extra flavor and richness to the rice, as it contains the natural juices and nutrients from the chicken pieces. If using store-bought broth, make sure to choose a low-sodium option to avoid oversalting the dish.
