Step 2: Make the Sauce

Make the Sauce

Now take a mid-size mixing bowl. Combine the oyster sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, Shaoxing wine (or dry sherry), and sugar in it. Stir the mixture until the sugar dissolves completely. Finally, it will form a smooth and well-integrated sauce. Set this aside.

Step 3: Sauté the Garlic

Sauté the Garlic

Heat a frying pan over medium heat.  Add 1 tablespoon of avocado oil. You can also use the neutral-tasting oil of your choice. Once the oil is hot, add the chopped garlic. Sauté the garlic, stirring frequently, until it becomes fragrant and slightly golden. You should do it carefully because burned garlic can become bitter.

Step 4: Cook the Chinese Broccoli

Cook the Chinese Broccoli

This is the cooking part. With the sautéed garlic, add the prepared Chinese broccoli to the pan. Stir the broccoli gently. This will ensure that the garlic coats the stalks evenly.

Now take the sauce that we make in the second step. Pour the sauce mixture over the broccoli. Make sure it covers all the pieces. Now cover the pan with a lid to allow the broccoli to steam. Cook for about 4-6 minutes in this way until the broccoli is tender when pierced with a fork.

Step 5: Finish with Garlic Sauce

Finish with Garlic Sauce

Take off the broccoli on a plate and pour the garlic sauce over the dish. Stir well to incorporate the sauce throughout the broccoli, allowing it to absorb the flavors. If you want to get rid of any bad smell, you may cook it for 2 more minutes. I did this. Now our recipe is ready. You can enjoy it.
